This ring features a crisscut elongated cushion-cut laboratory-grown diamond of 1.00, 2.00, 3.00, 4.00 or 5.00 carats, held in eight claws, in the colour and clarity grades available at each carat weight (listed under Details). The crisscut faceting pattern, a modified step-cut with intersecting diagonal facets, produces an unusual optical effect that sits between the hall-of-mirrors of an emerald cut and the scattered brilliance of a crushed ice pattern. The elongated cushion silhouette, with its softly rounded corners and extended length, frames this faceting in a generous, finger-flattering form.

Eight claws provide enhanced security for the stone, distributing the hold evenly around the elongated perimeter. Beneath the centre stone, a hidden halo of micro-set round diamonds adds secondary brilliance at the stone's base. The 2.1mm band, in 10, 14 or 18 karat yellow gold, is smooth and precisely finished, its restraint intentional against the complexity of the centre stone.
