The crisscut faceting pattern — a modified step-cut with intersecting diagonal facets — produces an unusual optical effect that sits between the hall-of-mirrors of an emerald cut and the scattered brilliance of a crushed ice pattern. The elongated cushion silhouette, with its softly rounded corners and extended length, frames this faceting in a generous, finger-flattering form.

Eight claws provide enhanced security for a stone of this carat weight, distributing the hold evenly around the elongated perimeter. Beneath the centre stone, a hidden halo of micro-set round diamonds adds secondary brilliance at the stone's base.
