Designed with Intention. Built to Endure.
Every Heritage & Co. ring begins with purpose.
We design for longevity, balance, and daily wear — not trends, shortcuts, or cosmetic finishes.
From material selection to setting geometry, each decision is made to ensure comfort, structural integrity, and enduring beauty over time.
This is jewellery engineered to be worn every day, and treasured for a lifetime.
Design Comes Before Decoration
We begin every piece with one question:
Will this ring still look and feel exceptional years from now?
Before any stone is set or metal is polished, the structure comes first.
Proportions, balance, and setting geometry are carefully considered to ensure long-term comfort, security, and wearability.
Decorative details are only added once the foundation is right — because beauty should never compromise durability.
Certified Stones. Selected for Brilliance.
We work exclusively with moissanite and lab-grown diamonds — chosen for their optical quality, consistent grading, and ethical sourcing.
Every stone is independently certified and selected to meet the same measurable standard of brilliance across our entire range — from engagement rings to fine jewellery.
Our stone standards:
- Colour: D — the highest colour grade; a perfectly colourless stone
- Clarity: VVS1 — virtually flawless, with only minute inclusions invisible to the naked eye
- Cut: Excellent — precision cut for maximum light return, brilliance, and fire
Transparent sourcing. Measurable standards. No inflated claims.
Why Our Metals Are Built to Last
Most jewellery relies on cosmetic finishes that prioritise appearance over longevity.
Heritage & Co. rings and fine jewellery are engineered with material integrity as the starting point — not an afterthought.
Our Metal Standards
- 9k, 14k, and 18k gold — available in yellow and white gold, each selected for durability, warmth, and long-term value retention
- Platinum (950 Pt) — chosen for its exceptional density, natural white colour, and lifetime performance without the need for replating
- Rhodium plating — applied at 0.75µm to white gold and fine jewellery pieces for enhanced luminosity and surface protection
Every metal we work with is chosen for its real-world performance — not cosmetic appeal alone. Each alloy is selected, finished, and evaluated to withstand the demands of daily wear, year after year.
No misleading coatings. No cosmetic shortcuts. Only materials built to last.
Secure Settings Engineered for Daily Wear
A ring should never feel fragile. Every Heritage & Co. setting is engineered to withstand real-world wear — not just special occasions.
Across our collections, each setting style is chosen for both its structural purpose and the way it interacts with the stone:
- Four-prong solitaire — clean, open profile allowing maximum light into the stone while maintaining secure retention
- U-prong cathedral — elevated architecture that lifts the centre stone and protects the girdle under daily impact
- Hidden halo — a concealed ring of micro-set stones beneath the centre stone, adding depth and brilliance visible only from select angles
- Pavé band — precisely set accent stones along the shank, adding balanced sparkle without compromising band strength
Every prong, gallery, and band curve serves a functional purpose. Because true beauty should never come at the expense of reliability — across every stone, metal, and product category we work with.
Made to Be Worn — Not Just Admired
Heritage & Co. rings are designed for real life.
For daily wear. For years of ownership. For moments that matter.
This is jewellery made with intention — and built to last.
Finished by Process — Not Guesswork
Every Heritage & Co. piece undergoes a controlled, multi-stage finishing process designed to prioritise longevity, comfort, and surface integrity — with no cosmetic shortcuts.
Finishing is applied according to the metal and design intent:
- High polish — used on smooth solitaire bands and fine jewellery pieces for a clean, mirror-reflective surface
- Matte brushed — applied to wedding bands for a refined, tactile texture that diffuses light while preserving the natural depth of the metal
- Rhodium plating at 0.75µm — applied to white gold and select fine jewellery for enhanced luminosity and surface protection beyond industry standard
Before leaving production, every piece is individually inspected to meet our standards for wear, appearance, and long-term performance. Finishing techniques vary by metal and design, but our standards remain constant.
Designed to Endure a Lifetime
Jewellery should not demand careful handling.
It should earn its place in everyday life.
Heritage & Co. rings are designed to be worn, not stored, rotated, or protected from the moments that matter.
From daily routines to milestone moments, every design choice we make is guided by one principle:
If it cannot last in real life, it does not belong.
Frequently asked questions
Are your engagement rings solid gold?
Yes. All Heritage & Co. rings are crafted in solid 14k or 18k gold. We do not sell gold-plated, gold-filled, or vermeil jewellery. Every piece is hallmarked and certified.
What is the difference between moissanite and diamond?
Moissanite is a lab-grown gemstone with exceptional brilliance and hardness (9.25 on the Mohs scale). It is optically superior to diamond in terms of sparkle and fire, and costs 80–90% less while being 100% ethically sourced. Heritage & Co. uses only premium DEF colourless moissanite.
Do you offer custom engagement ring designs?
Yes. Book a free consultation and our goldsmiths will design your ring to your exact specifications — stone shape, band style, metal type, and engraving. Custom pieces typically take 3–4 weeks from approval to delivery.
Do you ship to all of South Africa?
Yes. We offer free insured shipping to all major cities including Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, and Pretoria. All orders are fully insured in transit and tracked door-to-door.
What warranty do your rings come with?
All Heritage & Co. rings include a 20-year warranty covering structural defects in craftsmanship. We also offer free resizing within 60 days of purchase.
How do I book a consultation?
You can book a free in-person or virtual consultation directly from our website. Consultations are available in Cape Town and Johannesburg, or via video call for clients elsewhere in South Africa.
How long does it take to make a ring?
In-stock designs ship within 3–5 business days. Custom and bespoke pieces take 3–4 weeks from design approval. Rush orders may be accommodated — contact us to discuss.
Are your diamonds and moissanite ethically sourced?
Yes. All our moissanite is lab-grown and conflict-free. We do not source mined diamonds. Our gold supply chain is fully traceable and we prioritise responsible sourcing across all materials.
